*Temple of Goddess Shooloni Devi :- A major attraction of Solan, this temple is unique as Solan lends its name from Goddess Shooloni Devi. On the third Sunday of the month of June, the Solan Fair is organized to honor Goddess Shoolini.

* Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry :-  Situated 15 km from Solan at Nauni, this is the first University of its kind in Asia.

* Ghurka Fort :- This 300-year-old fort at Nauni belongs to the period when the region was ruled by the Ghurka rulers of Nepal. Though in ruins, the fort is strategically perched atop a mountain point, providing a bird’s eye view of the entire area.

* Karol Tibba and Meteol Tibba :- This is an ideal picnic spot, located just a km away from Solan.

* Kasauli :- You can also visit the nearby pretty town of Kasauli, a popular hill-station. It is home to a famed temple devoted to Lord Shiva.

The nearest airport is at Chandigarh (68 km). The nearest broad gauge railway station is at Kalka, while the closest narrow gauge railhead is at Solan. Well-connected by an extensive network of roads, Solan can be reached conveniently, by hiring a taxi or by bus from Shimla and Chandigarh.
