Natural caves were often used as social meeting places for people during the 1920s and 1930s. These caves were used as dance halls, restaurants and as speakeasies. Black Cat Cave was used in this way.

Prohibition ran from 1920 through the early 1930s before being repealed on December 5, 1933.
