Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is set to play in a Priyadarshan film as the renowned tiger hunter and conservationist.
Priyadarshan is set to make the first thriller of his career, departing from his usual genre, comedy. Title of the new film is â€˜Grrrâ€™. The film will be about the man-eating tigers of Sunderbans in which Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of Jim Corbett.
Corbett was a colonel in British Indian Army and is renowned for having killed many man-eating tigers in the jungles of Kumaon in North India under the Raj. He was also a conservationist who stressed the need to save forests and wild life.
Priyadarshan so far directed Amitabh in advertisements, butÂ with the superstar â€˜Grrrâ€™ would be his first film. The director says that in the role of the fearless Jim Corbett he could envisage none other than Big B.
The film would not be shot with real tigers. Rather Priyadarshan will use animatronics that is robotic tigers for the film.
