Billo Barber …contemporary version of the Krishna-Sudama’s companionship

Shahrukh Khan will appear very first time in a humorous film Billo Barber directed by Priyadarshan. The movie Billo Barber story is believed to be a contemporary version of the Krishna-Sudama’s companionship.The story of the film Billo Barber would be conceived on the comradeship of two people among which one is well-off and the other is poor. Irrfan Khan is anticipated to perform the character of poor friend who is a town barber in this film Billo Barber.The basic concept of demonstrating this friendship in a humorous manner is attractive enough to grab the viewers’ interest towards it. And with the inclusion of two fabulous actors of Hindi film industry in it, the movie Bilo Barber as well as Billu Barber Songs have become a must watch.

Both the actors are of entirely different types of personalities and it would be awesome to watch them collectively on screen. The female actresses cast includes Kareena Kapoor , Deepika Padukone along with priyanka  in Billo Barber.Billu’s (Irrfan Khan) plays a village barber roll his business is not doing well because he has not been able to improve himself in line with the new trends. , life is changed when a film unit arrives at his village for shooting a movie.

To Billu’s surprise, the star of the movie is none other than Sahil Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) who was Billu’s old school friend. Instantly, Billu becomes prominent man in the village and attains fame and respect. Villagers urge him to make acquaintance with the superstar, but Billu is intimidated by his friend’s superstar status. He thinks that Sahil would never acknowledge his friendship with a barber. Billu strives to meet the star but is unsuccessful. Finally, he fails after lots of struggle.

People suspect that Billu is fibbing in order to gain fame and start offending him. Billu’s family and children become apprehensive about his claim. In the end, for an invited school function, the star reveals his past. He tells the audience that in his school days he had a friend who always stood by him in his hardships. He tells how much the friend helped him by providing food when he was hungry, provided clothes when he did not having any. He tells that the friend gave him the money to join acting by selling his ancestral ear ring and that friend happens to be Billu.

At that time the people recognize about Billu and the movie happily ends.On the other hand, Kumar didn’t find the movie Bilu Barber appealing and eschewed the project, at the same time as Tabu said no to the film Billu Barber as she didn’t wish to work with Irrfan Khan. The director after that, offered Kumar’s and Tabu’s charachters to Shahrukh Khan and Amisha Patel in that order, and both of them agreed to do the roles in movie Billu Barber Songs.

Billo Barber is a remake of the super-hit Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol (starring Sreenivasan and Mammootty),the movie is set to release on 16th January 2009.Billo Barber is a story of 2 friends, one rich (Sharukh) and the other poor (Irfan). They drift apart after school days and meet again after several years. Everyone wants Billo to meet the Rich Superstar. But Billo is unsure that he may not be recognized by him and that he feels he cannot compare to the Super-star status now.

After Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, news is that director Priyadarshan has roped in priyanka for an item song in his next movie starring Irrfan Khan (as Billo Barber), Lara Dutta (as Billo’s wife) and Shahrukh Khan (as superstar actor). The film is being produced by Shahrukh Khan himself.Priyadarshan says  that a phone call was all that was needed from King Khan to get Piggy Chops (Priyanka Chopra) to do the item song for Billo Barber. Guess this would be the first time we would get to see Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra doing an item song together.

Initially, Irrfan Khan, Akshay Kumar and Tabu were signed for the film. However, Akshay Kumar opted out of Billo Barber citing that the role wasn’t exciting enough. Tabu too walked out of Billo Barber since she did not want to work with Irrfan Khan.Subsequently, Akshay Kumar’s role was offered to Shahrukh Khan and Tabu’s role to Amisha Patel. But, Amisha too decided to walk out of the movie saying that the role wasn’t substantial. Finally, Priyadarshan signed on Lara Dutta to play the role of Billo Barber’s wife.Billo Barber is a movie about a barber named Billo whose business is low due to a  number of reasons. One fine day, a film unit comes to Billo’s village to shoot a film.
