Azharuddin meets Andhra CM…..

Former team India skipper Mohammed Azharuddin on Thursday met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the backdrop of media reports that he may join the Congress. Accompanied by his relative and former Congress MP Khaleel-ur-Rehman,  Azhar met the Chief Minister at the Lake View Guest House here, sources said.

Last session of Parliament to begin on Feb 12. After the meeting, Azhar did not speak to the media. Congress leaders too were tight-lipped on the issue. AICC general secretary and in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs M Veerappa Moily and state party president D Srinivas were also present at the meeting.

According to sources, the former cricketer has shown interest in contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad and conveyed it to the party leadership through his close friend and government chief whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
