Pink eye, medically known as conjunctivitis, is a common eye problem for kids. 5. Warning:
Be aware of the types of programs that you download to your computer’s system. Research them online and on community forums to see what others’ experiences have been with them. In order to do stand up comedy you will first need a drive. If you were always the one cracking jokes the most around your family and friends and have always had the thought of doing stand up comedy shows, then you may want to do standup comedy or sketch comedy. Stand up comedy is very hard at first. You may be funny, but if you don’t say it the correct way you may fail in comedy acts.

1. Watch as much stand up comedy as you can. Watching old and current sketch comedy, stand up comedy, comedy videos, comedy movie, live comedy, comedy acts and reading comic comedy will greatly enhance your stand up comedy skill.

2. Write down every joke you have heard or told. Write down every funny story you have heard or told. This will help you to start thinking of funny concepts or ideas.

3. Anything goes in stand up comedy, so the best method when starting to write stand up comedy is to choose a comedian you like and generate opening statements and transitions the way they do. Don’t over think openers and transitions between jokes. I have seen some stand up comedians just say a joke after a joke after a joke with no transitions so seriously anything goes.

4. Take comedy classes or improv classes at your local theater or college to help get new comedy ideas and get help you get comfortable with public speaking.

5. Write stand up material that takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes to read out loud. Practice the stand up out loud with all the actions you plan to use in your room privately. Go 100% during practice as you don’t want to get on stage and perform the way you half-heartedly did in your room.

6. Contact your local bars or comedy clubs about there open mic night. Perform your 2 to 5 minute stand up at as many clubs as you can to get great practice. Performing live comedy is the only way to get better and see what real reactions to your jokes are. If you don’t have a friend in the audience to take note of when laughs occurred, put a tape recorder in your pocket before you go on stage.

7. Over time you will become a regular in the local venues and if you are good enough you will get a full length show time at the club or comedy venue. From there you can enter comedy contests across the USA and contact other cities venues and clubs and begin to tour. Steps for creating Miniature painting

Painting miniatures is part of role playing hobbies. These pastimes are fun, easy and for some an obsession. While you can paint plastic figurines, they do not have the same vibrancy as pewter miniatures.

Set Up:
1. Set up your paint station in a well lit area. You might even want to use a spotlight for close up, detail work.

2. Wear clothes on which you won’t mind getting paint. You may be painting a small figurine but accidents do happen. Also put newsprint down to protect the table you are painting at.

3. Buy an assortment of brushes. You want at least a 2, 1, 000 and 5/0. This has to do with how small the brush head gauge size is. The smaller the head, such as a 5/0, the better for detail work.

Painting:
4. Wash the miniature to remove any residue from it.

5. Cut the molding lines that are present on the miniature. You want a smooth figure to play with and don’t want to paint these eyesores on your miniature.

6. Paint the primer on after the miniature dries. If the figurine will be painted dark in color use a darker primer. Otherwise use a light primer.

7. Paint the figurine with the color scheme you would like. Here is where you use the fine gauge brushes for the detail work. Good light at your workspace enables you to better see those areas and make sure every crevice is painted.

8. Apply a sealer to the miniature after it has thoroughly dried. This can either be a spray or paint. This protects the paint you just applied so it does not chip off.

The madness scores of NCAA Basketball Tournament

NCAA Men’s basketball tournament 2010, March madness scores for round 1 is officially in progress. Millions of basketball fans are expected to be so excited to know the final results. Different teams from all four regions are that will compete to the next round was already disclosed during the opening round of action, last Thursday. Team Kentucky and Kansas which are considered in the top seeds will both be in hard action Thursday. Another teams belong in the top seeds, Duke and Syracuse are scheduled to play on Friday. Based from report, recent games will differ in usual trends because some of the top seeds will go tough tests during their matchups with the lower seeds.

Teams Villanova, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt were amongst those receiving a true challenge from their opponents. Some of the lower seeds are looking to become this year’s Cinderella and advance deep into the tournament. The 2010 NCAA basketball games is expected to l run all day long, some ending around midnight EST or later. The NCAA scores so far have produced some interesting results for the Big Dance. After this weekend’s March Madness scores are final, we’ll have the sixteen all set.

The celebration of 2010 Sun-Earth Day

Sun-Earth Day 2010 Celebration at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, NH and the New Hampshire Astronomical Society are celebrating Sun-Earth Day on Saturday, March 20. Solar-science demonstrations and experiments on magnetism and how to detect infrared and UV light will be presented throughout the day. Other activities include crafts, featured planetarium show Equinox, special NASA broadcasting, 2012 Sun myth debunking, spectroscopy demonstrations, and safe live viewing of the Sun in H-alpha through Discovery Center observatory telescopes.

If the skies are clear, at 12:32 PM, the actual time of the vernal equinox, visitors will be invited to the outdoor human sundial exhibit to “sight the Sun”. Sun-Earth Day activities are free with paid general admission. Sun-Earth Day 2010 is commemorating its 10th year and the theme is magnetism, an everyday force that makes motors work, allows notes to be stuck to our refrigerators, and keeps electricity flowing to our houses. Magnetism also plays a key role in understanding the Sun and is responsible for the most violent explosions in the solar system, magnetic storms.

Steps to take care of a Yorkshire Terrier

This alert, intelligent terrier, like other dog breeds, has special characteristics and, therefore, some special needs. It is a spirited dog with a generally even disposition. Yorkshire terriers can be very noisy, so think about your neighbors when considering this breed as a pet.

1. Be prepared to spend time on grooming and bathing this breed. Because they have long coats, Yorkies must have baths and their coats must be trimmed short or shaved for convenience and hygiene.

2. Brush your pet’s hair daily to keep it free of tangles. Bathe him only when he is dirty, usually weekly. Brushing will keep the hair clean, except on the side of the body where urine collects on a male. Wash this area daily with a damp cloth and warm water. Brush the dog dry in front of a small hair dryer if you have one handy.

3. Wash mucus from the corners of the dog’s eyes, daily if needed, with a cloth or wad of cotton soaked in warm water. Mucus will rot your pet’s hair if it’s not removed. Dry him off carefully.

4. Take special care to keep the hair around the Yorkie’s anus clean. It is common for this hair to become matted with feces.

5. Keep the hair on the top third of the ear flaps trimmed very short. This way, excessive hair won’t weigh down the ears before they are firmly “set,” at around six months of age.

6. Get your dog’s ears checked regularly for excessive wax and mites, and ask your vet to pluck the hair from inside his ears. Hair on his feet will need trimming occasionally.

7. Pay special attention to the Yorkie’s eyes and teeth. Long hair should be kept out of his eyes. As with most toy breeds, Yorkies may have tartar buildup on the teeth ‘ so they need regular brushing. Ask your veterinarian to recommend the best products and method.

8. Get a little dog coat for the Yorkie for cold weather. Yorkies do not have an undercoat to keep them warm. A store-bought coat will keep your pet warm and cozy.

9. Invest in nutritious food for the Yorkie. These dogs eat very little, so their food needs to be healthful.

10. Note that terriers typically have little tolerance for other animals, including other dogs. Their ancestors were bred to hunt and kill vermin. Many Yorkies are eager for a spirited argument. Expect a Yorkie to live a healthy 15 years if all goes well.
