Have a lengthy URL in your profile? Have you seen other profile’s with short url like “facebook.com/some.name”. Its quite simple to convert your existing long facebook profile URL to a short one.

Short URL Facebook

Step 1:  Just go to the following URL : http://www.facebook.com/username/ and follow the instructions. Kindly note not to replace “username” with anything else. Just click the link and follow instructions.

Step 2: Enter your desired name when asked and its done.

You can also select short URL’s for your Fan pages. But for fan pages you should atleast have 25 Fans before you are qualified to get a Short URL for your fan’s page.

Example of short url profile: http://www.facebook.com/abhilashpillay

Example of fan page: http://www.facebook.com/rainbowskill (Do give a like to this page!)
